Hands-On Mentorship

“Guiding Tomorrow’s Innovators, Today”

At the Mitas Foundation, we pair aspiring technologists with industry leaders for personalized, hands-on mentorship. Our mentors don’t just teach skills—they inspire confidence, nurture entrepreneurial thinking, and help participants turn ideas into actionable plans. Whether launching a startup, mastering a new technology, or navigating career pathways, mentees gain the tools to build their own opportunities and uplift others in their communities.

Impact: Skills → Businesses → Jobs → Transformed Communities.

STE(A)M Talent Exchange Platform (STEP)

“Connecting Talent with Opportunity”

STEP bridges the gap between underrepresented STE(A)M talent and the companies eager to hire them. This dynamic platform offers students and young professionals access to internships, apprenticeships, and project-based collaborations with tech-driven organizations. By democratizing access to high-growth careers, STEP ensures that talent thrives regardless of background—and that industries benefit from diverse perspectives.

Why it matters: When talent meets opportunity, economies grow and communities flourish.

Technovation

“From Learners to Leaders in Tech”

Technovation empowers young people to become creators, not just consumers, of technology. Through coding, AI, and entrepreneurship challenges, participants develop real-world apps and startups that solve local problems. Guided by mentors, they pitch ideas, build prototypes, and leave ready to lead the next wave of innovation.

Vision: A generation that doesn’t just adapt to the future—they design it.

The Next Genius Project

“Igniting Curiosity, Opening Doors”

FREE single and multi-day events for young people to explore tech careers in a hands-on, inspiring environment. Through coding workshops, mentor panels, and demos of cutting-edge tools (like robotics or Web3), participants discover pathways they might never have imagined. The goal? Spark passion, break down barriers, and find those geniuses —hidden in plain site.

Outcome: Exposure + Mentorship = Lifelong Possibility.

Code Nation

“Coding for All, Careers for Everyone”

We’ve developed an AI curriculum that can will reach thousands of students in the U.S; launched two new AI courses and a Data Science course; and are teaching students how to use AI for Advance Manufacturing, Prompt Engineering, financial literacy, and so much more.

We equip students in under-resourced schools with coding skills, professional networks, and paid internships—keys to unlocking careers in tech. From HTML to Python, learners gain proficiency in tools that employers value, while building relationships with peers and professionals who believe in their potential. Code Nation isn’t just about learning to program; it’s about programming a future of economic mobility.

Motto: Skills + Access = A Workforce That Reflects the World.
